Corey Carthew

Corey Carthew Corey Carthew was born to a Scottish mother and an English father in Long Island, NY. He was a mistake. But mistakes happen. And everything happens for a reason. As they say. Faced with three unique accent possibilities he seems to have found a fourth and neutral one. Although he has yet to find any good “cawfee” or “chawcolate” far from the “Lawn Gi-land Expressway.”

Corey never did well in school. Except for one moment of greatness at a community college. It was therefore a big surprise to everyone, including Corey, that he was admitted to Cornell University. Upon graduating from the halls of the Ivy League, Corey put his Biology degree to good use waiting tables in Manhattan. Ten years of such noble labor was mixed with small roles on All My Children, Law & Order, the other Law & Order -- SMU or something -- As The World Turns, The Guiding Light, The Cosby Show, a few commercials that aired on cable, one that aired in Greece but was shot in the Dominican Republic (cool), two Feature Films (one that went nowhere; the other is in it’s second year of editing), lots of street theater, lots of theater performed in a theater, never a theater on Broadway but one Off – Broadway that he cannot remember or the play for that matter -- he may have been good in it, surprisingly he was cast in a Yiddish theater company and played people called Moishe and Kanarick by playwrights with names like Shalom Ashe and although Corey looks like the poster boy for the Hitler Youth, his Jewish friends told him he did a good job but why on earth did they cast you? Most surprisingly, Corey managed to have a career as a voice over artist (the neutral accent paying off after all). He has represented products on tv and radio and has narrated documentaries for A&E, History Channel and Discovery. He continues to do so now.

When not doing nothing, Corey can be found cleaning pools in Short Hills New Jersey.
